Children and local artists are busy creating works of art to be included in Silent & Live Auctions at the Gala. Students at Schumann Elementary are collaborating on various creative "heart themed" projects such as pottery pieces, bulletin boards and decorative floor mats. Intermediate School students are working with local artist/sculptor, Alli Luedtke, and art teacher, Jo-Anne Kirkman, in creating unique heart sculptures out of cast glass, bronze, mosiac and limestone.

"It has been so fun working with the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders on this 6 foot clay and glass sculpture." said Alli Luedtke. "The kids are so excited to help raise money for the school."

Middle and High School students have also been asked to submit their individual works of art for the auction. In addition, many local business and individuals have made contributions for both the auction and as sponsors. The "Art with Heart" gala is being sponsored in part by Home Valu Interiors/the Gerry Boschwitz family.
