Take your best memories from high school,
Mix in a super hot band playing the music you love,
Add an ounce of outrageous outfits,
Finish it off with the greatest volunteer committee
filling the ballroom with gorgeous decorations,
staffing the event with incredible student volunteers,
concocting scrumptious food and building an auction filled with amazing opportunities.
Put it all together and you'll have a taste of the incredible night that was the
2009 Orono Alliance Prom.

On Saturday, April 18th we took over the Medina Ballroom and created an event that was more exciting, more colorful, and more thrilling than any dance we went to in high school. The Orono Dance Team kicked off the entertainment, and BOOGIE WONDERLAND headlined the event which kept people grooving until midnight.

Guests arrived in a wide array of outfits including vintage (or is it tacky?) 70's and 80's prom attire, with cliffhanger bangs and mullets. Prom photos were taken under a balloon arch, votes were cast for King and Queen, and the Silent and Live auction kept people shopping until the very last minute.

Butler passed hors d’oeuvres and food stations throughout the evening kept everyone's energy up as Boogie Wonderland performed hit after hit and Orono mom Lynette Mayhew (and the Lyn-ettes) stormed the stage to profess their love of Rock & Roll.
